Michael grew up sailing and boating on the Derwent River in Hobart, leaving school to join the Royal Australian Navy. He served 5 years sailing the Pacific and surrounds. He holds a Master Class V, Med III, and brings 30+ years of maritime experience to your adventure. Michael has spent the last 24 years sharing his time between sailing and aviation. He holds an Airline Transport Pilots License and has flown all versions of the Boeing 747 and currently spends his spare time as a Captain with Qantas flying internationally on the Boeing 767. Michael’s easy going nature, humour and professionalism – putting safety of his operation at the foremost – gives his guests and crew peace of mind and true relaxation to enjoy their sailing experiences. Mala grew up in South Africa and the U.K. She is a Barrister and owns a boutique Hotel in the heart of Hobart.
